en plein Vizcaya in Miami (Coconut Grove)
This was an open call, many of the premier paint outs are juried affairs. You must first pass muster to paint with them. Ours, an affair of the heart.
Each of the artists participating are devoted, en plein air painters. The rewards come from participating with friends, access to the location, known as the jewel of Miami and lets not forget where the exhibition will be shown and how many will see it.
We were fortunate to partner up with Vizcaya in allowing a select number of artists to paint the expansive gardens of the Italian/French Renaissance chateau right on the Bay of Biscay. Vizcaya was created with a vision to beauty. Wherever one looks, you see a scene wanting to be painted.

These pictures make me wish I could have been in the Grove this weekend. But then I am not a Plein Air painter. Look forward to see the results.
